Become an SBSNA Member
Stony Brook Student Nurses’ Association (SBSNA) is an official school chapter constituent member of the National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA). NSNA membership guarantees you automatic membership to SBSNA and the Nursing Students’ Association of New York State (NSANYS).
Eligibility
- RN-to-BSN students with an associate degree.
- Nursing students in a diploma program.
- Nursing students in a baccalaureate program.
- Pre-nursing students enrolled in college or university programs who are taking prerequisite courses.

Membership Tiers
Active Member
Regular membership is offered to any student in an associate, baccalaureate, generic master's, or generic doctoral program preparing students for registered nurse licensure, as well as RNs in BSN completion programs.
Associate Member
Pre-nursing students enrolled in college or university programs designed as preparation for entrance into a program leading to an associate degree, diploma, or baccalaureate degree in nursing are eligible for associate membership.
Sustaining Member
Sustaining membership in NSNA is open to corporations, agencies, schools, and individuals who do not qualify as nursing students. This special membership category offers opportunities to support the goals and purposes of NSNA.
Dues
NSNA Dues
- One year: $40
- Two years: $80
- Renewal: $45
SBSNA Dues
- $5 late fee if registering for NSNA past specified deadline.
