The ACG’s Awards Committee noted Dr. Lamanna’s expertise in the graduate education and mentorship of adult-gerontology nurse practitioner students as worthy of selection. In addition to her teaching duties at the SON, Dr. Lamanna serves as director of the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program.
A 1995 graduate of Stony Brook’s adult nurse practitioner master’s program, Dr. Lamanna sits on the ACG’s Advanced Practice Providers Committee and is an active member of the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates.
