Clinical Instructor Tracy Trimboli, MS, RN, was recognized with an Excellence in Teaching Award by the Stony Brook University Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) in August.
Professor Trimboli was one of eight university faculty members honored at the New Faculty Orientation, held one week before the start of the 2025-26 academic year.
Recognized for her student-centered approach and commitment to educational excellence and experiential training, Professor Trimboli brings decades of real-world clinical and leadership experience to the classroom.
“I am continuously inspired by the amazing faculty here on campus,” said Rose Tirotta-Esposito, Assistant Provost of Educational Transformation and CELT Director. “These awards are a vital part of our university’s commitment to pedagogical excellence, serving as a powerful testament to the hard work and creativity of our faculty.”
“I love that we present these at New Faculty Orientation, as they help us share these best practices with others and, I hope, inspire new faculty as much as they do me,” she added.
A double graduate of the School of Nursing, having completed her BS in Nursing and MS in Nursing Leadership in 2000 and 2020, respectively, Professor Trimboli is currently pursuing her PhD in Nursing at SBU.
