Heather Findletar Hines, DNP, CNM, FACNM is a full scope practicing Midwife and Associate Clinical Professor at Stony Brook University School of Nursing’s Midwifery Program. The profession of midwifery has taught me how to care for women throughout the lifespan, as well as caring for the community to which they belong. Midwifery has also taught me understanding, patience, empathy, acceptance, collaboration, honesty, compassion, and love.
