Perhaps it was an activity or a poster on a wall that made you feel seen or evoked hope. Perhaps it was a resource or a story that enhanced insight and awareness.

Susan Qayumi
Susan recognized that many faculty, clinical instructors, and students are unaware of Islamic practices, particularly during Ramadan. To increase understanding, she developed a document that outlines Islamic practices, including prayer and fasting guidelines. We will incorporate this document into clinical faculty training so that students have the flexibility to observe their faith at the beginning of the spring while also completing clinical/school requirements.
Kenneth Faulkner and Clare Whitney
I nominate Dr. Kenneth Faulkner for the Bright IDEAS award because of his dedication to helping develop this committee almost five years ago. The acronym "IDEAS" came from new thoughts, and his idea to create this committee along with Dr. Clare Whitney should be celebrated! Thank you, Dr. Faulkner and Dr. Whitney!
